Professeor Kleinsasser's interests focus mainly on two subjects: a comprehensive and humane theory base for architecture and the concrete buildings of Henry Chapman Mercer. His manuscripts, "Synthesis 9 / A Comprehensive Theory Base for Architecture" and "A Splendid Torch / The Concrete Buildings of Henry Chapman Mercer", have had a major impact on the development of the Architecture curriculum and character of the department.
