"Teaching for me is an avocation, a means to stay "fresh" and to continue the inquiry of architecture. My primary interest is as an Architect in architectural practice. I maintain a very active full services architectural firm with current and completed projects throughout the U.S. Japan, Brazil, the Caribbean, England and Chili."
In addition to his practice and teaching, Professor Poticha maintains strong community involvement. He actively participates on various appointed planning and volunteer design review and Arts committees for the State, city of Eugene and Lane County. He also has serves on numerous national committees of the American Institute of Architects, the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards and as jury member on regional design award committees.
In addition to teaching architectural design studios, Professor Poticha teaches courses on the practice of architecture and the state of the architectural profession.
