B.Arch., 1968, M.Arch. in Urban Design, 1970, Cornell
reg. architect, California. (1990)

"I am interested in architecture as a humanist discipline. I believe that its study enables us to understand our world and its practice makes our world a better place in which to live. I am interested in the relationship between theory and practice, idea and form, realizing that the connection between these dualities is difficult to achieve, but central to our mission as architects."

Professor Tice’s long-standing interest in the city of Rome has resulted in his award-winning website called The Interactive Nolli Map of Rome which provides an innovative tool for students and scholars to study the Eternal City.

Professor Tice's interests in housing form and social content are explored in Courtyard Housing in Los Angeles. His most recent book, Frank Lloyd Wright: Between Principle and Form explores Wright's work from a typological point of view that relies on advanced visualization techniques and computer graphics.

Professor Tice teaches the required course, Spatial Composition, and seminars on The Facade, Frank Lloyd Wright, the Italian Palazzo, Le Corbusier, and the Architecture and Urbanism of Rome. He also teaches design studios at the intermediate and advanced levels.
